question about what you send to your furman headphone amps..

1
Ok, I've always mixed the band's headphone mixes from the control room. A couple of weeks ago, an aviom system (16 channels) was rented for a band in the studio. They seemed really happy with this set up.
I've read great things about the furmans at electrical audio. However you can only send one stereo mix and four mono mixes, correct?
What would be a typical set up for a band recording drums, bass, two guitars and a vocal, for example? More specifically, what would you send to the furmans. I'm curious because I have a little headphone mixer. It has four mono inputs and one stereo input. I can't figure a practical way to send four mono mixes and one stereo mix and have the band do their own headphone mixes and not have to worry about them. It seems to take so much time out of a session...

Thanks for your time.

i have no idea how they do it at electrical but here is what i would do:

1-bass
2-guitar
3-guitar
4-vocal
5(stereo) drums

i have found it much easier to have band members set up their own mixes. you know, if the bass player wants a ton of bass he can just turn it up on his box without it bothering anyone else. i find it saves time compared to me doing the headphone mixes from the control room.

That makes sense (actually, its completely obvious). For some reason I was thinking of doing it with a stereo mix and "more of me" in the mono inputs so I was running out of mono mixes... (I feel pretty stupid right about know...)
Thanks, I'll try it this weekend and see how it goes (I'm mixing at the moment)

Spell Check doesn't work on my safari so I'm sure there are some spelling problems.

Thanks again
