Apparently on the new Dresden Dolls record, there is a song called "Modern Moonlight"
I've only been familar with this phrase via that new shellac song.
Does it have meaning outside these two instances?

I overheard a guy in a bar shout to someone "You don't like BON JOVI? I thought you liked music!"
We named a song 'I Thought You Liked Music'. Said man receives no royalties. I think this is either a coincidence, or they liked that phrase. I do. It's evocative. But whatever.
The key here is that Dresden Dolls are shit.

The song "Roadrunner" by Jonathan Richman includes the verse: "I'm in love with modern moonlight/ 128 when it's dark outside/ I'm in love with Massachusetts/I'm in love with the radio on." So maybe they copped it from Richman rather than Shellac, though it's still a cheap life either way.

Yeah. It wasn't reallly a knock on these Dresden Dolls, though I could think of a few reasons to.
Just curious where the phrase came from.
