I searched High and Low, and yet could not find a poll for this incredible band.
So go, baby go....

Where can you find their albums? Besides that one on skin graft, I too have searched high and low, and so far nothing....nothing at all!

Thumb Days can still be purchased through Amazon sellers here.

There are some MP3s at this guy's blog.

And, I never bought anything from this site, but if you go to musicstack.com and do searches for Snailboy and Shorty, you'll find most of their stuff, including their singles. Not cheap, though.

Hope this helps...

... And definatley NC.

Al is and always was a very entertaining singer. Both of these bands (as well as US Maple) were great to see live mostly for Al. He also did a short run in the band Lake of Dracula... I saw them once and it was pretty surreal... Weasel Walter was singing up in the front of the stage and Al was singing on the drum riser behind.... he was spotlit wearing a Sinatra-esq hat had grey jacket he looked as if he was in black and white... like a voice from the past... it was a weird effect but very entertaining. Totaly weird band/show that is burned in my memory.

I liked how Shorty used to do "Hot For Teacher", and Shippy would play the guitar part note-for-note, and then do the solo twice as fast as on the original.

I remember seeing them once, and everytime there was a solo or a musical passage in the middle of the song during which Al wasn't singing, he'd shove the mic in his back pocket, fold his arm, look at his watch, and wait impatiently for his turn to come back in.

NOT CRAP.

A friend of mine introduced me to this band several months ago via that wonderful video for Coopie n' Me on youtube:

I couldn't believe I'd never heard them before. Thanks to the good soul that put Thumb Days up in the sendspace thread. Gonna go buy a used copy today.
