so what's a totally kick-ass yet affordable ringmod stomp box? or, has anybody built their own ringmod stomp box that they think kicks ass, and if so, is the schematic online?

i've decided i might need to have some sort of an "effect" at some point, and ringmod seems like the way to go for some reason. oh yeah, cause it's totally fucked-up sounding!

There's the EHX Frequency Analyzer which seems to be quite good, I think it sells at about 90$ on ebay.
If you want to spend a little more there's teh Moog MF-102 which has an LFO for crazy ass sounds. It's quite expensive though ($250?)

i have the EH Frequency Analyzer... it's a good ring mod...totally fucked up sounding, and affordable (buy one used on ebay... tons of people buy these but then discover that it's actually kind of difficult to use...so they sell them cheeap)
