Windshield treatment: Rain-X

This is the best shit EVER.

You clean your windshield with it, and for about a couple of weeks afterwards you won't need to use your wiperblades very much at all.

Raindrops will bead on the glass and just blow right off with the wind as you accelerate.

Also, you never have to use an ice scraper to clear your windows after a snow or ice storm, because it prevents it from fusing with the glass. You can clear your windows with a brush.

I am a big fan of Rain-X.

I love the Rain X. Love it. I would buy the Rain X inventor guy a beer. Fuck it, I'll pick up his tab. I don't understand how motorcyclists lived without it. It is so great.

I sold an ex-girlfriend's grandmother on Rain X, but she had some difficulty reaching to the center of windshield. I used to come over once a month and apply the Rain X. In exchange, she would make me grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. We would talk about Roy Clark and Ballantine Ale.

I meant the stuff for the outside. That is what I saw at Pep Boys. I guess I wasn't clear about the fogging, no pun intended. For the inside I'll just continue to wipe it. Newer windshield glass does a better job of beading then the glass they used 32 years ago. Either that or it just hasn't aged well.

The stuff would be great for my motorcycle helmet too. Not that I ride in the rain if I can help it but sometimes I get caught in a sprinkle.

A guy I went to school with used to have to drive his VW with his head out the window like a dog under certain atmospheric conditions.

I've wanted to. But my heat works great so I don't want to let it all out.
