I was listening to Atomizer for about the zillionth time yesterday, and, once again, was transfixed by the sound of Mr. Riley's bass guitar as performed on Kerosene.

This has been a sound that I have held in reference for 15+ years (along with a number of others of course). I've certainly spend my time having fun with bass sounds, and am now comfortable with my own range of distorto-bass (as needed: EBS Compression pedal, Boss Bass Distortion, with optional Electro-Harmonix Small Stone).

But goddamn, again I'm blown away by this track. Could anyone provide clues or info regarding how this was processed? It is both the tits and the ass.

i doubt this is right infact i know it could not be but i got a very similar sound through a trace elliot with a big muff
