Anyone ever used any? I was looking at the "Naked Eye" Ribbon mic by Crowley and Tripp. They say one side has a dark response and the other side a cleaner brighter sound. Any input?

This is an absolutely incredible microphone. Although I've only used it on my voice so far. I found the brighter side to work well with my voice. The darker side favored lower mids just a little too much. But I could see this other side working well with a guitar or male vocal perhaps. It's nice to have that option as it's almost like having 2 microphones. Two flavors of EQ bump. Not completely different from each other but noticeable.
The shock mount is incredibly well-designed. It threads into the base and then allows you to swivel it around in any direction.
For the price, it's a great microphone. Unfortunately I'm just borrowing this one from a friend right now but I seriously don't want to give it back.

I try to be amusingly harsh, but not straight up mean. I just want to share my research.

I caught the link, thanks for that. I'm definately interested in these. I'd be curious o get a stereo pair and do electric guitars with one turned the dark way and one the light way and combine them.

For anyone that's interested, there is a video here that shows how rugged this new Roswelite ribbon material is:
