I hate to indulge too deeply in paranoid thinking, but y'know, with the Air Torture renditions and circumventions of the rule of law, the whole "Bin Laden family flies for free" thing after 9/11...
The actions of the administration in power seem to make my most paranoid imaginings seem kind of tame. That said, I always feel a little depressed and deflated after allowing my mind to roam too much over these sorts of musings. It's sort of like I disappoint myself.
