I think it's on saturday night (the 13th) but i can't remember the venue. Somewhere in the Wicker Park vicinity. I saw a poster when i was rocking the windy city and got in a little huff because i knew i'd already be back in dreary England when the show takes place.
For anyone who doesn't know anything about Ruins, you should just go anyway. Bit like Lightning Bolt with less distortion and more bonafide unpredictability. From Japan with nearly 20 years of records and live shows under his/their belt. And he got the chops on them there drums. Oh boy.
I am jealous of attendees.

Ruins is awesome.
Saw them open for Sebadoh a ways back. Drums and bass if I remember correctly.

I just discovered that it's at The Note on N Milwaukee. Nowhere seems to have a door charge listed though.
You remember correctly. Drums and bass (and Tatsuya will do vocals from behind the kit too). Relentless.

I had a great time. But was a little disappointed that there was no bass player. Still, Tatsuya was running a fricking drum clinic. SO TIGHT!
