This was mentioned a while ago, in a few other threads. Figure it should get one of it's own. So, anyone planning on doing it? I've got one vacation day left until next year adn I'm thinking of using it for this. Provided I'm not the only person who does, cause then I'll just play video games and get wasted. Which would be fun, but no so much an effort of solidarity to stop the fuckupedness of everything.

I don't think you can use a vacation day for a strike. Doesn't that go against the whole method of a strike?

Yeah, I have thought about that. But I do need money, and a job. And I would get paid for the day if I didn't use it by the end of December, so it could technically be a loss of income.

I think you should use ideas and not brute force to change the world. But that's just me. I repeat, that's just me.

Wouldn't this be what you're advocating?

This is a foolish idea. Don't advocate a mass action tactic if you anticipate less than 1% compliance with your target audience.

Judging from the little that anyone's been saying about this, and the lack of enthusiasm here, I'd have to agree with you. Looks like it's not gonna pan out as the great mass action it could be. Few people really care enough, and those that do feel so disempowered that they see no point in going through with anything.
