I'm heading to LA for the weekend in a few hours. Can anyone suggest a good record store in LA? We're staying in the Santa Monica area.
Any other suggestions for good times? We're going on a sunset cruise on Friday night and to the Braves v Angels game on Saturday night.
Thanks

There are two good ones right in Santa Monica on (or near) Pico. One of them is right near Pico and National. There is an RCA dog out in front of the building. Can't remember the name of it.
The other one is Record Surplus, which was featured in "Knocked Up."
Rockaway in Silverlake/Echo Park (long way from SM).
Aarons in Hollywood.
Amoeba is the best, worth the trip to Hollywood for that one, it's one of the finest record stores I've seen.
Vinyl Fetish and Taang! on Melrose.
Canterbury in Pasadenea. I bought some $300 records there for twenty-five cents. Keep that one a secret.
Go see the restored griffith Park Observatory.
