Is it not crap or stupid fucking kids crap? I say not crap.Some of my favorites are all of Hayao Miyazaki, Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, FLCL, and Cowboy Bebop.

speaking of things that are mostly made up of crap, how about independent rock music? there is tons of shit. does that make bands that matter any less good? most things , as a whole, are crap.

that shit's fucked up in so many ways. while i have enjoyed most of what i've seen, one series in particular should never be watched by anyone, that being Urotsukidoji (Legend Of the Overfiend). that shit is just WRONG. okay, so maybe the Nazis really did make a machine that would fuck like 12 women at once until they exploded. i mean, i doubt it, but maybe they did. DO I WANT TO SEE THAT? NO! and of course it's got the stereotypical tentacle sex, why wouldn't it? and demon chicks that masturbate in a tree. i mean, duh.

in conclusion:
robotech was cool.
sailor moon was rad.
Urotsukidoji is damn near evil, and the people who made it are probably really, really fucking weird. take that shit outta here and gimmie some damn Jigglypuff. that thing rocks.

what is not enjoyable about watching 12 chicks get fucked at once by a nazi? well...except the nazi part. the really fucked up stuff is the best kind. like big bug mosters spazzing out and fucking their sisters.

You know, it's hard to make a sweeping crap/not crap vote on anime, because it's like saying "movies", "books", or "television shows" or anything like that. I'll go with not crap against my better judgement, because there's a lot of anime (and manga) that I really, really enjoy. Granted, I do not have the creepy trappings of most Sinophile fans. I swear, I'm not one of "those" people. Pretty massive waffle factor, because there's a lot of anime that I either don't like at all or couldn't care less about.

My absolute favorite is Fist of the North Star. They butchered the movie with crap, innacurate English dubbing for the U.S. release, but it is great. I'm actually still working my way through both of the T.V. series in my spare time (there are 152 episodes between the two, so it's going to take me a while). I'm probably a third of the way through, and am addicted. I like all the Captian Harlock stuff, and Ninja Scroll as well (though I think the movie is much better than the recent series). FLCL is a mindblow, and I wish there were more episodes. I really liked both Vampire Hunter D movies, and a friend of mine recently got me into Evangelion, which I'd avoided for years. Kinnikuman Nisei (Ultimate Muscle in its mangled U.S. form) is very very good as well, as far as comedy goes. It's not as surreal as FLCL, but I may like it more.

FYI, I think the entire Urotsukidoji series is brilliant. If you're offended by that, then by all means stay away from other hentai or ero-guro stuff, because a lot of it (though not all of it) takes things a lot further.
