Great concept, slightly irritating bro-y host.p.s. "Interviewing Roland" is a bit goofy, there are plenty of other good reasons for featuring Steve on a drummer's podcast.

Yeah, that was a little dumb, but there have been some great episodes. The Bernard Purdy episode was fantastic, but how could it not be? All Joe had to do was show up!Phil Collins, however... no thanks. No need for that. Same with Jim DeRogatis. Joe's humor isn't always all that funny, but I'd bet it would come across as more endearing in person. Also, kudos to him for making a podcast about drumming and life and not about drum sticks.

An interview with our fearless leader is up today. Didn't see a thread for the show so I figured I'd start one.

Joe Wong is a funny guy and a great drummer. Not Crap, even though I wish they would talk about drum sticks more.

Not crap.Aside from the inherent interest of the guests, I genuinely find the host to be a good interviewer. He comes in prepared, and asks good questions. He follows guests down tangents when the tangent is more interesting than the question, but reliably circles back to intriguing things guests say in passing. When I find myself thinking, "Wait! Wait ” what? Back up! I'd like to hear more about that!" he frequently does just that. He may not delve deeply into gear, but the info he does elicit makes it worth the listen more often than not.(Incidentally, the Phil Collins episode was pretty bracing stuff. I'm not a fan, but he sounds sad, regretful, and unwell. It was an unexpectedly depressing listen.)

I do not like how he pronounces "Don Caballero". Otherwise, great podcast.Edit: How rad would it be to have Damon Che as your Uber driver?

I really enjoyed the Damon Che one. Huge bummer, but totally fascinating. Had always been really curious about him. I imagine all the others are rainbows and lollipops in comparison.
