There are one or two specialized kick drum mics that have dynamic and condenser circuits in one package, but they're all some variation of cardioid. The Audio-Technica AE2500 is one. I have no idea what it sounds like.

I was not lucky when I asked for an alternative to beyer M380.I'm now looking for a condenser mic to put inside the bassdrum (switchable in cardioide, figure 8 or omni). The SPL max should be appropriate to a "loud" bassdrum. The frequency response either. Ideally, this mic should be appropriate for vocals too. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Politely, a figure 8 or omni condenser inside a kick feels kind of like a solution looking for a problem. Is there a particular reason that you narrowed it down to that?
