Really getting into that Geordie from Killing Joke sound and I know he uses the Bell Labs ADT, but they are costly. Can you suggest something that approximates that sound? I was eyeing an EHX Clone Theory?

I was using a Digitech PDS1700 for awhile to cop Geordie Walker/John McGeoch type sounds.
Operating at 12volts into my 68 Bandmaster was doing it for me.

I'm not super familiar with the Bell ADT but isnt it a double tracker, i.e. a short delay device? The EHX Clone Theory is a chorusing device so i'm not sure that would do the trick.

It is a short delay device, but so are chorus and flanger units. The delay line in modulated.

Yup it is, it's one of those things shopping online via youtube videos and just going by that, and I thought the Clone Theory had a similar sound in one video (of course I cant find that video now). Well sure, but you can't unmodulate it on most choruses. So it never does a proper double-track or slap-back kinda thing. However it sounds like the Clone Theory does a decent job, so maybe the Bell ADT has some modulation to it? Again i'm not familiar with the actual unit.

Sorry Tony, what I meant is, like a chorus or flanger, the Bell Labs ADT is as you said, a short delay device, but with the delay line modulated.

Hey alright, thank you.

You might look into the Strymon Deco. You get double tracking, slapback, through zero flange, and chorus. Along with tape saturation. Lots of demo videos online.

It's probably the next pedal I sell some stuff to buy. Wish I could find a used one at a decent price.
