Audio-Technica PRO 37R - loose capsule

I picked up a couple of these mics for cheap. They work perfectly, but I noticed that on both, the capsule seems to be slightly loose within the body. With the disc-shaped cover removed from front of the mic, you can basically move the capsule around with your finger.
It seems like the foam structure inside may have degraded, but there's also not a ton of 'foam-dust' in there.
Any thoughts? I'm guessing the capsule doesn't move around on a brand new example.

Hot glue can go a long way if you are careful not to get it on the diaphragm.
