Google - DuckDuckGo

What else ya got?
Gmail (and Calendar, and Drive...) - Proton Mail
Chrome - Brave
Trusting Your ISP - Mullvad - don't use Express or Nord. They are much slower and less secure.
Thanks for this. What do y'all like for video hosting these days? Tryin to get away from Google/YT completely.

the only alternatives i'd bet on being around in 2035 are twitch (amazon) and vimeo.

For video: Vimeo, but also PeerTube (https://joinpeertube.org) as a decentralized video platform

Twitter - bluesky: Mastodon (https://joinmastodon.org). Bluesky is ok, but it recreates the same issue that Twitter had where all your posts are funneled through a single company, and subject to their decisions/ownership

and in the regrettable fyi department:

Brave:
was founded and run by noted anti-LGBTQ+ rights crusader & funder Brandon Eich (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brendan_E ... esignation - older stories, but his views haven't changed)

Proton:
provides great services but recently posted some pro-Trump policy garbage. People are dissecting its meaning, and that's up to you. I don't think you can selectively endorse people or parts of an anti-democratic state, personally. See:

Some Proton alternatives are:
Tuta (https://tuta.com)
Mailbox (https://mailbox.org/en/)
Fastmail (https://www.fastmail.com) - who a lot of people like, but aren't as secure as other services (but much better to use than gmail or exchange)

For a bunch of other privacy-minded services, Privacy Guides has helpful information:
