the only alternatives i'd bet on being around in 2035 are twitch (amazon) and vimeo.

I never joined Twitter, but I deleted my Facebook account (and all Meta accounts) when Zuckerberg bent his knee to Trump. But honestly, it wasn’t a tough choice: it had sucked for years.

For video: Vimeo, but also PeerTube (https://joinpeertube.org) as a decentralized video platform

Twitter - bluesky: Mastodon (https://joinmastodon.org). Bluesky is ok, but it recreates the same issue that Twitter had where all your posts are funneled through a single company, and subject to their decisions/ownership

Proton:
