Young immigrant comes to the country. Discovers it’s safer here than back home. Minimizes the risks. Walks around with her face in the phone all day. Now she’s dead.
I see them every day with their crocs & Trader Joe’s tote bag and I just want to slap some sense into them.

Trying to wrap my mind around what on Earth is meant by this post.
I assume you're talking about that woman being killed on the train. You think she was killed because she was looking at her phone? And that this particularly made her at risk for murder as opposed the other probable 80% of people in the train who were also looking at their phones at the time? And you assume she does this "all day" because you saw her doing that in the video? What does crocs and Trader Joe's have to do with any of it?

i'm just saying there are things you can do to protect yourself and paying attention is a very good one.
i didn't mean anything more than that. it's been a fucking tough day.

Still not making sense. If she wasn't looking at her phone she would have been looking out the window, or listening to music, or something. Either way probably not being on high alert in case the guy sitting on the seat behind her suddenly got up to stab her.

I can't see the original post but the OP seems to like starting a new thread for every news story instead of posting them to the already existing relevant threads, which to me is a sign that he is just doing it for attention.
