Two albums enter. One album leaves. Which album prevails?

EW for "Cosmic Dancer," which is one of the best songs ever recorded. Both are great though.

My head says The Slider is the more formulaic and doesn't rock as much as Electric Warrior, but my heart just likes more songs on The Slider.

The Slider is more polished but Electric Warrior is better and has a compelling murkiness to it.

The Slider is great but the first few seconds of the tenebrous groove to "Mambo Sun" leaves no question of the superiority to Electric Warrior. Same goes for "Monolith." So many curious and poetic lyrics, minimal and serpentine riffs, Team Electric Warrior Team for life.

Snarky third answer: Futuristic Dragon has "All Alone"

The Rhino release of Electric Warrior has There was a time / Raw ramp as an extra, and that might be my very favourite T. Rex. However extras is a bit of a cheat. Hmm.

I think Electric Warrior is a breakout work for both Marc Bolan and Tony Visconti. It's a really kinetic album, and it is an excellent choice for coming down from psychedelics. The Slider is great too, but by then Bolan knew what his formula was.
