It looks like Geddy and Alex got a new drummer and will be hitting the road soon.

They've always seemed like good guys and there's nothing stopping them from working on new stuff, but going thru the old catalog without Peart seems a little wrong. But whatever... much bigger issues in the world obv.
Giving them a NC though it's not something I've regularly listened to since early teenage times.

Love Rush. Not crazy about them going out sans Neil, but get the urge to play again.

Not crap, but the only two albums I still own are Grace Under Pressure and Signals.
Everything else I sold in one lot to a record shop I used to work in. I don't mind hearing other stuff now and then but I don't ever really miss it, except the S/T, which I probably should have kept. I've seen em (Presto tour), they were fine.

The individual musicians and their performances are NC; WF: 0. I know and love pretty much all of their albums up through Signals and at least like a lot of the later stuff.
Knowing the history of this place, I know someone is going to lambaste their lyrics and apparent politics. There is the occasional line that makes me cringe, but I usually don't pay much attention to the lyrics.
Yeah, it'll be interesting how the new drummer is received. Peart used to play pretty much everything exactly as it is on record, and if she deviates from that much, the fandom will unfortunately let everyone know about it. A lot of their hardcore fan base sucks.

This band is kryptonite to me. Hate. Lol, like at this point it's reflexive.
When I worked Pizza in the 90's in college, the other dudes were all metal and prog dudes, and we each loved each other, but hated each others music. Rush made me want to jump in the boiling water with the spagetti and just get this shit to its inevitable end.
Crap. 100%. No Waffles.

They pretty much activate a gag reflex with my girlfriend. She gets mad whenever we’re listening to a classic rock station and they come on. I have to ask her permission to finish listening to the song. I’ve never seen anyone hate something the way she hates Rush.
Fortunately, she doesn’t judge me for my love of Rush. I learned to play bass by playing along to Rush and Iron Maiden songs. They’re in my DNA.

I love everything about Rush except the music. Alex and Geddy just seem like genuinely cool weirdo dudes who somehow made it big doing exactly what they wanted to do.

Anyone who guests on a McKenzie Brothers album and an episode of Trailer Park Boys can't be all bad.

Really glad they’re getting a young female drummer rather than FMDG or Danny Carey or Portnoy or whatever.
