Cognitive dissonance... cognitive dissonance...cognitive dissonance

If this keeps up I won't be able to shut up about $40 hoodies either:

"OWNED BY SLINT...piece of equipment was purchased by the legendary independent rock band Slint and used on their historic reunion tour."

Hoping this is an auction to raise money for charity, but squeamishly imagine it may be compensation for the lighting design architect from "their historic reunion tour."

Selling equipment is one thing, selling it signed is another. But, I guess that goes without saying since they are two different things by definition.

I half of one third expect to see David Pajo's poo stained skivvies on Ebay next.

Can't wait for the reunion tour DVD chronicle though. I am really looking forward to it.

Is the below just a way to make an extra buck, exploiting a market because it can be done?

This kind of silliness makes me feel better that I stayed away from the reunion shows.
Why would I want a guitar with some indie rocker's signature on it? If it was Hendrix or Jimmy Page, maybe I wouldn't mind. At least when you have friends over, and you show them your Jimmy Page guitar, they might say, "that's cool."
You show them your Dave Pajo guitar, and 99.9% of people will ask you who the fuck that is. And most of the people who know who the fuck that is will think it's stupid that you had him sign your guitar.
But I guess you only need one sucker per item.
