for those people in bands on this board, how did you come up with your band name? how long did it take? do any of you regret the name you have now?

i always come up with cool names even though i'll probably never be in a band. one that i'm really liking lately is: "Destination Target". if anyone wants to use it, feel free. just give me a shout out when your record goes platinum.

My band's called the batteries and I hate it. I hate them. I hate the music we make. But mostly I hate the name.

I even tried to convince them that we could never put a record out as the batteries because there's already a french band called les batteries (there is), but still we remain the motherfucking cock ass bastard arse twatting batteries.

I'm trying to work out a joke about us not having a positive side but no luck so far. Any help's appreciated.

Buster Hymen and the Penetrators

my first band was called Purple Monkey Dishwasher. it was a reference to a Simpsons episode where Bart gets hit in the head and starts babbling nonsense. that was one of the things he babbled.

my second band was called Musabi. it was a slip our drummer made when he was talking about "Wusabi." we liked the sound of his new word, so we made it our band name.

my third band was called Half Mad. i can't remember how that came about. i think it was part of an epiphany. yeah, that was it...

my fourth and most recent band was called Francophone. my brother--the lead singer--found the word on his final exam in French class, and decided it would make a good band name. so we used it.

the name i go by for the things i make up on my own (as well as in this forum) is Instant Zen. it's a slang term for LSD that i found in a book that belongs to my mother.

my current band doesn't have a name yet, and probably won't have one for a while, since we're taking our sweet-ass time with everything we're doing. current ideas, however, include:

*Spent Pigs
*Bit Key
*Attic Salt
*The Peeling Solution
*The Philharmonics
*Chamberpot
*The Phantom Thunderbox
*Ladygoat

...i have stories regarding these as well, but didn't want to make my post any longer than it already was.

I thought that was when he was trying to instigate a teachers strike and there was a chinese whisper thing through the crowd and "purple monkey dishwasher" got added to whatever he said.
