I was a big fan of both when Astro Creep and Portrait came out. Lost interest in them 25 years ago or so.
Meh.

I think AC had Lou Reed's former band on The Alice Cooper Show, and they gave a mean performance. The original band was the best, though.
About that...
There's a couple of "Tubi..." sorta options that might be better quality.
As long as Alice clearly being a guy whose issues with substance has him by the throat is not a complete deal breaker?
That band is a keeper. Steve Hunter's solo guitar break at around one hour/thirty seconds is one for the ages.

If Scott Putesky is in Manson then yes. His guitar work was great, even on the demo stuff.

Rob Zombie takes it for creating “Dragula”, which almost anyone can turn into an enjoyable karaoke performance.
Manson seems like what would come out of a corporate marketing focus group on the concept of “transgressive”.

I've heard "Manson" say some pretty wise and well-spoken shit on some topics he's been interviewed about, but that all goes in the toilet because of his abusive treatment of women. I assume anything I heard Rob Zombie say was grunting about voodoo skeletons or some shit, but he clearly loves his wife which I respect.

Surprised to see Rob getting a pass as a nice dude - while the rumours are not in the same league as Manson's (alleged) misdemeanours, he has a rep for being a total diva since White Zombie made it big, treating his band, opening bands and crew like they are totally beneath him. He's (allegedly) the Axl Rose of the alt-metal set.

He's like Axl with less oxygen.

Marilyn Manson songs are "I'm on hard drugs with a scary voice I'll steal your soul / I'm perverted Mussolini look at my butt-hole (hey!)"
Rob Zombie songs are "Nosferato in a formula one / Cruising for boobies 1961 (yeah!)"
Rob Zombie all the way.

I can’t defend a white man with dreadlocks. I just can’t. In some ways I suppose that’s probably my problem, but then again I’m not, never have been and never will be a dreadlocked white man.
My wife likes some Marilyn Manson songs which over time I have come to tolerate. He is, however, clearly a wrong’un.
