The band is recording a bunch of covers this weekend for an upcoming split release with another band, and one of the songs we're going to cover is "Spin Spider Spin" by Takako Minekawa. Unfortunately, we have no idea what the fuck she's singing.

I've tried googling various combinations of "Takako Minekawa Spin Spider Spin Lyrics" and have just gotten frustrated. Anyone wanna recommend anything other than learning covers that we already know the words to?

I've had the best luck with the song title in quotes and the word "lyrics" separate... that seems to find it most of the time, if it's out there.

I use Google, and I usually put as long a string of lyrics as I know in quotes. This usually gets you more direct results, instead of pages where a reviewer talks about how great the lyrics are in this song, or a page where someone asks what the lyrics are to a song, etc.

For example, compare these results with these.

i have written a few songs, but would hardly consider my self a soul-searching "lyricist-type"... i dont know if we have any of those on the board. you might want to go to the matchbox twenty forum. im sure there are some lyricist-types there.

I often go out into the woods to find lyrics. I take The Collected Works of Robert Bly, my yoga mat, and my notebook (sometimes also a sketch pad), and I just let things come to me.

E.g.
