Where do you guys search for lyrics?

Or do you, even?

The band is recording a bunch of covers this weekend for an upcoming split release with another band, and one of the songs we're going to cover is "Spin Spider Spin" by Takako Minekawa. Unfortunately, we have no idea what the fuck she's singing.

I've tried googling various combinations of "Takako Minekawa Spin Spider Spin Lyrics" and have just gotten frustrated. Anyone wanna recommend anything other than learning covers that we already know the words to?

hi dr. i thought that this thread was going to be about finding inspiration for lyrics, working with a lyricist, etc... i didn’t realize it was about finding cover lyrics. anyhow, if you ever want to collaborate, let me know. i’m sure there are probably a couple of other lyricist types on this board other than myself.

I often go out into the woods to find lyrics. I take The Collected Works of Robert Bly, my yoga mat, and my notebook (sometimes also a sketch pad), and I just let things come to me.

E.g.

Find a queen without a king
They say she plays guitar and cries and sings, la-la-la-la
Ride a white mare in the footsteps of dawn
Tryin' to find a woman who's never, never, never been born
Standin' on a hill in the mountain of dreams
Tellin' myself it's not as hard, hard, hard as it seems
Mm-mm, now
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ahh
