Hi Duck,
I've been reading some reviews by Paul White of Sound on Sound magazine (who's opinion I value very much). So far, the Alesis and Samson monitors come out on top. I couldn't find a review on the M-Audio BX5s there but I found one on another site where the reviewer rates them highly (he is a DJ however, so I am still not sure!!!

)
Those V4s are way out of my pricerange, at around £500!! I did read a review of them from Paul White and he gives them the thumbs up. At the moment, its between Alesis and Samson. I recently got the chance to listen to the Alesis M1s and they sound powerful, but a little boxy. That was probably because the room they were in had poor acoustics, but I could hear detail in them which was nice. I already own an M-Audio keyboard and preamp/DI box and I'm very pleased with them both. It would be nice to couple those with some M-Audio monitors and I may get the Audiophile 24/96 one day as it is a very good card for the money.
Thanks for the reply!
Neil.
