I remember an episode in which they keep prank calling somebody with a vaguely funny name. The prank calls consist of them just flushing the toilet. Except for one prank, when one of them (Beavis?) holds the phone as the other shits in the toilet. The turd makes a loud "plop" as it hits the water.
I laughed so hard that my face turned red and tears streamed out of my eyes.

42Their commentary on various videos was probably the funniest part of the show, and MTV won't let them release most of it. Sad. Still, "Frog Baseball" is very funny.

Vaguely similar to this...
The one and only time my parents saw me perform in a band my Dad said "I've never seen you move that fast in my life!"
Anyway Not Crap. It's almost embarrassing how much this show can make me laugh.

You laugh at the show because they are dumbasses. They are losers that are harmless to make fun of, because it is merely a cartoon show. On the other hand, if you watch Beavis and Butthead because you actually idolize them, you are an even bigger dumbass they the characters.
They are meant to be laughed at, not with. Hahaha.
OK if I remember this right I believe one of DR AKAs teachers in college went to high school with Mike Judge (or someone else who worked on the show) and was pretty sure he knew the 2 kids that B&B was modeled after... I am sure the DR can't tell it better than I...

It's not that they "won't", it's that they have to license each video from the label that owns it, and they probably largely don't want to go through the lengthy, expensive process.
There's about 10-13 videos on each of the new volumes of DVDs, including Jesus Lizard's "Glamorous" in Vol. 2.

46I wish I could remember the band that Butthead referred to as "just another bunch of British mama's boys." And I loved when the singer for Helloween began to shriek and Butthead spit his pop all over the place, though he did that fairly often. I especially liked when something weird would come on and Butthead would just give Beavis a sidelong glance.

I don't remember them saying that about thrash guitar, but i think i laughed for three days straight after they said that after send the Tool "Sober" video where one of the puppets' hands spazzes out.
Also, no one has yet mentioned the Sperm Bank episode. Oh my god.
"All right, go to work."

Shit...that MAY have been Jeff Sconce, who teaches at Northwestern now, but i'm not sure.
I DO vividly remember meeting one of Mike Judge's head writers, because he was a U of Wisconsin-Oshkosh alum and came back to talk to the radio-tv-film department. Discovering that the inspiration for the episode where B&B threw burgers into the ceiling fan at their job was inspired by a similar scenario this guy partook in at the Hardee's on Jackson Street in Oshkosh made my semester.

Normally a ringer for Beavis, in this pic Dennis Bergkamp looks eerily like the pair's Dutch lovechild.
