I don't get it. Why do you guys always feel the need to be sarcastic or just unpleasant to new members?
I mean, even if they ask a "question to Steve", can't you let Steve answer if he wants to or just show a link to a thread where the topic was discussed before?

Couldn't they potentially be people with the same tastes as you?

Well, it's kind of a silly question, isn't it?

If I absolutely had to ask Steve something, I'd send him a PM. He may or may not answer it, but he may or may not answer a gae thread like this, too.

Steve's tastes are well-documented on this board, and on the internet (inteviews, etc.) in general.

Everyone was very nice to me when i started posting here.

Then again, i lurked for about a month first and never really was tempted to ask Steve a question.

Once he was asked if they know it's Christmas i figured the concept had run its course. Who can top that?

I understand your point, but some people may be too shy to PM Steve directly. Anyways, my point was, if this bothers you, don't answer this thread or if you want to help, kerble the appropriate thread.
