Source Tags and Codes is a good record.
Their website is absolutely hideous, resembling really bad D&D art.
I have never seen them live. Based on the recommendations here, seems it would be ill advised unless i got in for free. I think I read an interview once and they did not appear to come off as egotistical, but it may have predated the major label blow-up.
Still voting not crap, just for that one record, which is the only one I've heard.

23Even more CRAP, as they had Dead Meadow (NOT CRAP) opening for them and let them play for 30! minutes!

I wholly agree. Especially if you read it.

25I will say this:
I haven't sat and listened to one of their songs since the Trance Syndicate release.
However, I just listened to some mp3s off of their new CD.
And I will go on record as saying: You've got to be fucking kidding me.

But I digress. Please continue with the squirrel circuit semantic debate.

26There are an alarming number of "Not crap" votes. Alarming.

27NOT CRAP.
They have at least 8 really, really great songs.
NOT CRAP.

30When I was a DJ at WBGU, I thought their name sounded pretty bad-ass ("Trail of Dead, huh? That sounds pretty evil.") so I played them and I (initially) thought it was the wrong CD, after all, that's the name of a fucking metal band influenced by B-grade horror movies, not this pretentious-art-school-emo crap. But, alas, it was the right CD. I sawe them open at a Queens of the Stone Age show that same summer, and my reaction to their set was of the "Oh, now I get it" variety; more specifically: "Oh, now I get it, people who are not me like it."
