I was watching the odds on teevee. I didn't see any heavy favorites, and a lot of long shots.

Did you guys know that 1979 was the last year of the horsey races that had odds that you could borrow money from everyone you know, multi-mortgage your house, stake your entire life on a race and win big? I forget which race it was, but if I had a time machine, I would go back to that point in time and break a casino.

Why would anyone care about the Kentucky Derby unless they were an elderly rich southern horse-owner with nothing to do in life other than boast about an animal they paid entirely too much money for?

Fuck this pointless and cruel shit.

I'd like to see one of those horses go nuts and bite an old lady in the face....especially if she is wearing one of those idiotic hats so favored by the southern genteel society that sits about gossiping and drinking mint-juleps.

Yeah, I don't see the sport in horse racing/betting, or the excitement for that matter. Would much rather watch/bet on two young whippersnappers beating the shit out of each other.
