Hi,

I sing in a an independent rock band from England called Point7Pistol and would like to ask anyone that's interested for some constructive feedback on our recordings. We're looking to record again soon on 2" tape so I'm really geekin' up this time on techniques and thought Steve Albini first. Really want a big ballsy sound from the drums next time.

All the tracks were recorded studio live in 3 sessions. We wanted a raw sound but found ourselves messing around a lot with the sounds in post production. All in all I'm proud of our first record.

If you are highly specific about the recording help you want, you might very likely get some highly specific help here.

If you are just looking for 'general tips' or you are newish to analogue recording you would almost certainly be better off searching about and reading stuff already posted on this forum first.

It's very in-depth in the basics and starts right from the ground up, but does spend a lot of time discussing MIDI and synths, so I skip these chapters for now.

You could record at Electrical.
