Take a kazoo and stand near the front looking eager, you never know.

ROLF, this reminds me of that Chunklet article on how to heckle bands.
One of the ideas Henry had was to put a wireless amp set up under the stage and play along in the bathroom while reveling in the confusion. Of course, this requires you to be friends with the sound guy.

This i see to make perfect sense. Over here, it seems the general gig ticket price is on the up again, and to see a band even as fully shit as say the Frank Ferdinand, Killers, Polyphonic Spree, is costing between 15 and 20 pounds. (20 quid is about 35 dollars just now). Even to see piece of shit band in a piece of shit venue is gonna set you back about 12 quid minimum, if the NME have featured them more than once.

I paid 25 to see Slayer and felt i got my money's worth. I paid 50 for Brian Wilson doing Smile and it was more than worth it. And i most certainly do not have spare fiftys lying around. But when this kinda thing comes up i just go out a little bit less for a while. Hold back on any non-essential purchasing. Make the cutbacks and save up somehow.
If someone told me i could watch for example; My Bloody Valentine or Sleep for 50 quid, i would say "hell yeah bring it on, but it ain't ever gonna happen is it!"

This however HAS happened with Slint.
3000 people plus, basically paid 125 quid (plus travel) to see them over here. If 32 bucks is too steep for you, i guess you don't want to see them enough. You could go and buy 2 shit cds instead. This Brett Eugene Ralph, he speaks the good sense.
You're a shit DM and i want my pizza money back.
