I still have a 7-year-old 2.5" Simpletech hard drive that still works. I originally bought it to replace a crapped-out IBM hard drive. The laptop died a few years back but the HDD is still going strong. I bought a small external HDD enclosure for it and use it for miscellaneous storage and transit.
