I had never heard Echo and the Bunnymen until last night. My wife put some concert of theirs from like 87 on the television and I watched it and I said 'This is not so bad'
I imagined in my head all these years that they were way wimpier than what I watched last night. I can see that early U2 completely stole their whole thing from this band pretty much.
The singer was really fucked up on drugs.

NC. Their original run as a band was great. There is a live show from 1983 at The Royal Albert Hall that is jaw droppingly amazing.

What passes for Echo & The Bunnymen today? Not so much. But it's still pretty cool to see Will Sergeant play guitar live.

Never enjoyed this band apart from very early stuff. All a bit too whiney for me.
