i'm not sure if any of the users here are into the whole noise/power electronics thing going on in brooklyn these days. a lot of it, as the plight of a genre like noise music goes, is terrible. but there's a lot of good stuff out there, too. navicon torture technologies, cathode terror secretion, carlos gaffoni, and namely: prurient (aka dominick fernow).
pleasure ground and black vase are good examples of noise. this kind of noise, as opposed to something like merzbow, gets me pumped.
not crap.

2Saw him live a few years ago and he was exhilarating. Not Crap.

3I don't keep up with his releases, or very much noise, too much these days, but the stuff I'm familiar with is not crap in the slightest. My favorite song of his is "Black Vase", which is exactly what I pictured him to be live when he pretty much just played with speakers and some mics.
The recent stuff is really nice though, and he has yet to disappoint me live
EDIT: Good story from one of his shows, halfway down the page or so

4I haven't listened to Prurient for quite a while now, but I used to love it and I still think it's pretty great. His performance at the beggining of this video is awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxFCPz6rzzU

He can go suck a dick too.
Crap.
the shirtlessness and the frown show you that he's SERIOUS about his noise.
so weak.
save it for the basement, you self-important douchebags.
kerble is right.

6haha, you made me laugh, but I still kinda like his music. I think his stuff is better than the average stuff you get from the harsh noise scene, which lacks sense of humour in its enterity. With the exception of Emil Beaulieau, obviously.
