liars - "hold hands and it will happen anyway"

i like to think he is saying:

the things they're selling
to stop us from heaven
there are seven

i know that's not what he's saying, but not paying close enough attention that's how it sounds to me.

There's a bit of a misfits lyric controversy in my band over Angel Fuck

I think it's... wrote:Open wounds on your brow, little angel is red, she's not loving you anymore
Little angel fuck seen you going down on a fireplug
Ooh little angel fuck, size for everyone

She thinks it's... wrote:Open wounds on your brow, little angel is red, she says nothing new anymore
Little angel fuck seen you going down on a pile of blood
Ooh little angel fuck, sighs for everyone

The actual lyrics are:
Open wounds on your brow
Little angel in red
She isn't loving you anymore

Little Angelfuck
I see you going down on a fireplug
Little Angelfuck
Size for everyone

So, both of you were right about certain parts of the lyrics. I've always heard "size for everyone" and "fireplug". Never knew that Glenn sang "open wounds on your brow", though.

Actually, for the:
"Let those bastards believe
dry your eyes and we'll leave
she isn't loving you anymore"

I always heard that first line as "Live responsibly".

You really need to read most of the Misfits lyrics. If not to understand them, for a good laugh.

Shellac "This Is A Picture"

One of my favorites.

near the end I convince myself it's one and the next time I hear it
I convince myself its the other

"where i'll find my life when i'm through with my present one"

"where i'll find my wife when i'm through with my present one"

Any confirmation?

On first hearing Terraform I thought the line in "Copper" that goes "Did I need this(the?) silver to be suitable?" was "Did I need this silver to be pseudo-gold?"

In "Candidate" by Joy Division, I misheard the lines "I don't know what made me / What gave me the right" as "I don't know what made me / What made me arrive".

"This I Know" by Green on Red was misheard as "I've been down, drunk in the park" which I much prefer to "I've been down, drunk in the bar".

My friend mis-hears lyrics all the time
and usually they are amusing enough
that when we all get together
and hear said song, we sing his version
one example:

Cowboy Dan by Modest Mouse

Actual lyric
"Cowboy dan's a major player in the cowboy scene, goes to the
reservation drinks and gets mean"

my friend hears
Cowboy Dan's a major player in the cowboy scene, goes to the
reservation drinks some gasoline"
