Incredible showman, of course.

Admittedly it would be annoying if the drummer in your band played like 'Live at Leeds' (do NOT put a metronome to that recording..). But he also sync'd up well to Pete's sequenced synth stuff; in the loudest band in the world before in ear monitors were a thing so I wouldn't say crap.

Imagine Keith Moon's drumming style applied to the following bands:

Weather Report
Labradford
Mumford & Sons
My Bloody Valentine
Crosby, Stills, & Nash

Do I want to hear that? Yes, yes I do.

Pretty much my point, yes. I love Keith Moon. He is very unique. But the way he plays would not work well and/or would sound out of place in most bands.
Yeah, The Who was a band with a non-soloing guitar player who played rhythm like a drummer, and a drummer who soloed wildly like a guitar player.

I love your signature. Totally agree. I think rock music, and most 20th century music is exalted amateurism. If it was better, it would be worse.
