Hopefully this will help bring about the reissue of the band's out of print catalog (a used copy of the Wrong LP goes for over $100 these days).

Seconds on Protonic Reversal and Kreative Kontrol, of course.
I started the NMN podcast yesterday, and enjoyed it. Very charming podcast.

If there are any GBV fans who haven’t listened to Seld-inflicted Aural Nostalgia, it’s well we’ll worth your time, even if you listen to selected episodes.

I listen to Conan’s podcast whenever there’s someone who piques my interest. I think he’s doing a great job. Vish, too.

Guy lands a small role on the HBO mini-series Band of Brothers, but is fired by Tom Hanks before filming begins because Hanks says he has "dead eyes". 20 years later he revisits the event, interviewing various people related to the production to try and figure why he was fired. Pretty funny.

Went to check this out because the premise sounded funny, to find that the most-recent episode was the season two finale (episode twenty). Just how deep have they dug?

They are working on Season Three now.

I have been digging Turned Out a Punk (hosted by Damian Abraham of the band Fucked Up.) I ignored this one for a long time for no good reason. I always knew Damian was a good dude, but I had no idea how knowledgeable and nerdy he is about punk history. Holy shit, do they get very detailed in some episodes. I've got so much new(old) music to check out from just listening to a few episodes. My favorite trait about this show is the fact that Damian is a total pro. He does not interrupt the guests, or try to sound smarter than his guests. He asks good questions, and then gets out of the way. I wish more podcasters would do this.

Interview style is almost a make-or-break factor for whether or not I listen to some podcasts. Joe Wong is the gold standard: listens carefully, does not interrupt, and doesn’t repeat guests answers back to them. There are some podcasters who have interesting guests but self-sabotage the conversation because, well, they are lousy at conversation.

For those who are interested in delving into some punk histories (how regional scenes were born, band trajectories, personal arcs, and so on), TOAP is definitely worth a listen. Scott Crawford (Salad Days, Creem doc) has just started a podcast, so far interviewing Jim Saah, Shawn Stern and Lyle Preslar. Jason Traeger’s podcast is more of a hangout with friends from his time in San Diego, San Francisco, Reno and Olympia. He worked at Alternative Tentacles, K Records and toured with 7 Seconds.

Obviously FM dontfeartheringo's Crash and Ride, easily one of the best podcasts out there. There is discussion about depression and other heavy stuff sandwiched between music banter. Patrick is an awesome interviewer who makes the interviewee really open up.

James Toth's The Toth Zone is also a nice one, especially the first season. A lot of geeky music stuff and nostalgia that somehow isn't that off putting. I guess the writing and presentation makes it or breaks it, but you'll probably make your mind pretty soon.

I've also been digging Score: the Podcast lately. It's about film and TV score composers, for composers.
