After Sally Menke died, though really everything has been varying leaves of uneven since "Jackie Brown" (which I think his probably his strongest film and his only movie I might consider a classic), I will say even his movies that I don't like as much or think have aspects that don't work I think are least interesting. I really like the theatrical edit of "Death Proof", though I understand why people hate it, that was probably his last film I really enjoyed without various reservations, though I did enjoy "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood" a fair amount.

Plus I think he's a misogynist
I've heard this before and am curious. He sometimes casts women as the lead and/or heroine in his films (Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Shoshanna in Basterds), does the misogyny show up in his films? Or are there stories about him being a misogynist jerk as a human being? I know there was the incident where Uma Thurman got hurt during a car scene in one of the Kill Bills. He may be a jerk, but I'm having difficulty seeing him as a misogynist.
He seems to revel in the violence against them a little too gleefully. I mean, sure, I guess they 'win' in the end, but I guess I got sleeved out when he'd said something along the lines of there something being really satisfying about seeing a woman get the shit kicked out of her, I think it was in reference to Kill Bill

I've liked everything he's done that I've seen. I don't consider him a genius, and only a few of his movies I would say are great. Haven't seen many interviews with him so I can't comment much on his personality other than he seems a bit like a shithead. I thought Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was fantastic, even though I don't know basically anything about the Manson Family murders.

I mean, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood can be read pretty easily as misogynist. (It's the one I voted for in the poll, incidentally.) Brad Pitt's stuntman character is very strongly hinted to have murdered his shrieking wife and it's played for comedy, which carries over into the climax, where, the brutal nature of the real-life murder notwithstanding, the guy who may have murdered his wife tees off on a few other women to the delight of the audience in comedically gruesome fashion.

There's a lot to dissect culturally in that last scene and I'm not saying I have the expertise to really deep dive in, buuuuut...
