I went to the band parents' picnic yesterday. My kid's going to play piano in 2nd period Jazz Combo. I think high school got cooler when I wasn't looking (or just possibly my views on "cool" changed with parenthood).

Kind neighbor lady just popped by to warn me of theft in the neighborhood and that another neighbor had to have a leg amputated.

Not sure if I'm more embarrassed that I was smoking and downing a beer on my porch or by the dungeon synth blasting out the window.

Who am I kidding. It was the dungeon synth.
