I've refrained from saying this a lot or even getting madly excited. Even though we are very close, I don't think it's gonna fully hit until all the rugs are placed, furniture set, things are styled, and UDC dwelling permit is approved. There has simply been too many things that could still go terribly wrong. Skirted having to almost tear out the entire damn staircase do to spacial / clearance fuck-ups. Phew! Big one, averted nicely.

That being said, the island is set, floors are finished excellently, so LFG. Final stretch.

Your composure is remarkable but is outstripped by how amazing this place looks.
Haha. Hey, thanks!!

Starting to live my best fuckin' life over here TBH. The fun shit! Ah, it's going good.

Suh-weeeet curtains going up!

...and for the first time in a decade, a proper Nintendo setup! Upstairs will be bonkers as well.

Oh, that's all coming.

Been a long road of literal blood, sweat, and tears to get to this point. I’m overjoyed to say that the occupancy permit for the larger house we’ve built is official. 3 bedrooms, two full bathrooms, two fireplaces, walkout basement, and a hell of a lot of rugs. Though there’s a metric ton of things to still do, this marks an insanely relieving time for me. The first proper large group hang begins tonight. Onward and upward, folks. Cheers.

Stellar job decorating.
Hey, thanks! There's a big ass 75" boi next to the large fireplace now, but it's sort of like the basement one. In the corner, not the main deal, there if you want it.

Ha, thank you... maaaan, this is the first damn season of Mario + Zelda I didn't immediately play through because the last few years have been insane (excuses, excuses) but, I'm getting on it before this new ZELDA! Ahhhh.

So damn close. Loons and ducks coming to hang. What a stupid ass winter. May we not speak the cursed word.

Tomorrow is a big day!

Howdy. Touched grass. Saw Brainiac and Sunny Day Real Estate twice. Recharged.

Happy to report that after nearly 2 years of work, what I'm calling "Rest on Silver Lake" has now gone live for bookings. "The Bear" is the bigger one, and "The Bella", named after my brother's dog, is the small joint. If you're looking for a nice place to relax, you can do no better. It's cheaper to book directly thru the management company, but AirBNB / VRBO listings are also live. If you'd like to barter, I'm here for it. Many thanks to the crew. Cheers.

10 loads of topsoil and some grass (to touch in the future) incoming. LFG.

Operation grass seed is under way! Fire pit and walkway turned out great. Bit my lip again over what ended up being double the budget I had in place, but not tripping over dust / rocks is worth the spend, and this is truly the final boss. It’s only been one week, but the soil is hangry, and a few weeks from now, mowing up this hay and over-seeding should put it in great shape. Onwards! (edit : not sure why these photos are coming thru in garbage rez but i've tried like 8 diff methods and no dice so, embrace the blur i guess. humph)
