Just popping in to say that while religion is an easy scapegoat here, the real enemy, per usual, is the British, who along with the French, managed to arm and destroy the entire world. Mad props.

Perhaps if the Ottoman Turks had backed the right horse in WWI, we'd have an entire region still controlled by a sprawling caliphate, keeping the local tribes and nomadic Arabs with 'royal' claims in-check? Would they also be NATO members? Weeiird!

Yes, that would have been clearly far preferable with just a cursory review of events in the region since then, fully discounting the fucking up of many other continents as well in parallel. Yeah, there surely would never have been oil discovered in those lands if this nonsensical thought exercise could come true.
