Definitely have positive thoughts about ISU right now.Owen wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 9:16 amI went there, I was originally going to go to the U of I, but followed a girl to ISU. I am still friends with several of my Professors and had a pretty great time. With its closeness to Wesleyan and U of I, you can make all sorts of friends and connections. I loved the English program and liked the Arts/Theatre program as well.jfv wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 8:24 am Toured Illinois State University with my wife and two daughters yesterday. Love the place. Eldest daughter has already been accepted and has made up her mind that she will be going there next fall. Youngest daughter is still a few years away but also wants to go there; the music building is a castle.
Time flies.
Wife and I are both NIU alums and we drove back to that school earlier this year for the first time in a while. It looks almost exactly the same as it did 25 years ago, and not in a good way. Other than the marching band, we don't have any allegiance to that school. So I have no problem with my daughter(s) going to a different state school.
