This must have been a loud show, maybe so loud it rattled the teeth of those in the first several rows.

If toothaches persist, I hope these people visit the djentist.
Those lights are nuts. They probably had to start the show with a warning like "ladies and djentlemen, if you're prone to seizures..."

If you have not tried the Nobels ODR-1, you should. Its designer built the circuit to sound like his cranked tweed bassman. The pedal does not have a large amount of gain, but is very full sounding. It captures the thickness a good amp like the bassman will produce when played loud enough to compress. The tone control is also more thought out than a typical tubescreamer or the like. It actually boosts or cuts multiple frequency bands all in one knob.

The pedal is available in the original full size box, or a mini pedal. I suggest buy the full size one, and run it at 18 volts. Not all pedals benefit from higher voltages, but the ODR-1 does very clearly. This is the best low gain boost/overdrive pedal on the market for the money, maybe period.

I’ve got a first run Hotcake with the mid boost switch rather than dial. Love it.

I had one of their Red Llama clones and it was pretty killer. Desperately needs a tone or high cut pot for my guitars/setup though.
