I went through the cult classics section on Tubi the other day. Lots of films I was pleasantly surprised to see on there. You gotta be logged for them to show you the full list.

673On Tree's recommendation I also blasted through it this last weekend. Absolutely GREAT. Sometimes confusing (all these white fuckers look exactly the same, I swear). Jared Harris is a great actor.jimmy spako wrote: Thu Sep 19, 2024 8:51 amMiasmah is posthumously releasing the late Marcus Fjellström's excellent soundtrack to the first season if anyone here is interested:Tree wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2024 8:50 amIt's also on Netflix now.rsmurphy wrote: Sun Oct 08, 2023 12:06 pm Started watching a dramatic supernatural series set in 1845 about a couple of Royal Navy ships getting frozen and stuck in the Arctic Ocean called The Terror. Two episodes in and so far it's pretty great.
On Shudder
We watched S1 over the long weekend. Loved it. A string of episodes were made of pure dread and this was the first thing in which I've really seen Jared Harris. He was outstanding.
It was a little heavy, so we'll be giving it a minute before diving into S2.
Will start the second season later this week.

674I saw this ages ago, when it was on HBO, but Escape at Danemora is on Netflix now, and is a terrific prison break story. Deftly directed by Ben Stiller?!

676Woman of the Hour on Netflix is pretty good. Props to Anna K. for keeping it under 100 minutes.
"Whatever happened to that album?"

677Two scenes REALLY stuck with me in a major way. Would love to see her continue to direct. Made some actually interesting choices I thought.zircona1 wrote: Tue Oct 29, 2024 8:31 am Woman of the Hour on Netflix is pretty good. Props to Anna K. for keeping it under 100 minutes.
Didn't really love it overall, but if two scenes worm their way in, great batting average.

678Been a while since I watched a rom-com. Nobody Wants This on Netflix is decent.

680Disclaimer by Alfonso Cuaròn is a must see. A revenge story like no other.
