I'd use it for ambient music, mainly.

The Strymon stuff looks well reviewed, but I'm also wondering about the Boss RV-500.
I recently picked up a Strymon NightSky for a decent price (less than $250) and I'm mighty impressed. Super easy to figure out (unlike some of the other large-format Strymon stuff I've messed with) and is very much an ambient machine. The "Shimmer" section of the pedal is where it really shines!

Thoughts?
I don’t think this would necessarily work for everyone, but just posting a reminder to everyone that TC Electronic m2000s studio reverbs go for very little money. I’ve got two for $150 each after a FM losthighway rec. and they were $1000 rack units new. It’s an xlr balanced in, so you couldn’t just use it like a pedal, but if you were playing ambient music with a small mixer setup it would work wonderfully for having it feedback on itself.

Night sky is good. I have a Digitech Hardwire Reverbs and the Supernatural Reverb which is close to the same. They used to be cheap but really great, Lexicon reverbs and can usually find them any day for 200, 150 if you wait

I’ve seen stuff like the Klark Teknik DN716 that looks like it can be had very cheaply.
Sure thing.

Which Creamback? There’s a guitar cabinet company that has some great videos pairing speakers so you can hear them individually and in combination. Zilla cabs.

I remember liking the combo of 65 and 75 watt Creambacks. I’ve owned the Neo and the 65. The 65 is a pretty great speaker.
