Here's the last of the guitar + dance duo videos:
Re: My improv shit
12Tonight we did another set of the music + dance + lasers formation, here's a decent chunk of it:
Re: My improv shit
13And the final (at least for now) video of the series is out, this one is really different from the others. We recorded it early december. The very sad part about it is that the violin player, who I met the day of the recording, had an accident and passed away last month. I'm happy we got to do this, at least, which I hope was a happy occasion for all involved. I had already played with the other two guys before and we're likely to do more music together.

14My next thing has just come out, first audio-only release in years, a succint guitar + drums duo EP:
Hope folks enjoy it. I even play a couple notes at one point.

16I did my first live solo guitar improv the other day, recorded it and it has come out as part of a compilation. This is it:
Re: My improv shit
17I sent the above recording of my guitar improv to a friend who chopped it up, mixed it with a bunch of stuff and came up with this, which has just come out, I really really like it. Very MUSICAL, too:
It's a short record, we have it playing twice, first as two suites, then as separate short tracks.
Exceptionally, it's also on spotify and the other streaming platforms, for those who use that stuff.

Re: My improv shit
18Last year I started a trio called Tranca, two guitars and clarinet, the concept is that we're always direct and to the point, and try to work with short-form ideas or fragments, the initial concept came out if a conversation I had with the other guitar player where I told him about the Orcutt guitar quartet, but it doesn't really sound like that. Our first recording just came out on bandcamp, as part of episode 12 of Bipe, a local radio / internet program of experimental music. Our half starts on track five, sixteen short pieces, all improvised, most around or under two minutes each. We were very happy with how it turned out. Fairly approachable, too.
