75I hope you all don't mind me putting in a plug for an event I'm doing sound for, but if you're a fan of this style of music, our area has done a festival for almost 20 years now called Kalamashoegazer. Can Amtrak to Kalamazoo from Chicago pretty easily.
Not the worst way to spend the weekend - way chiller than most other "festivals" I can say that. You'll probably recognize some familiar friend band names on the line up this year.

Not sure what additional details would be needed beyond what's in the link other than that the train station, hotels, and venue are all within walking distance which would be easy for anyone coming from Chicago. We have ride share here too and relatively bike-friendly so it's not like it's complete wilderness.
