Did either of you end up building these contact mics or preamps?

I'm looking at Zach's recommendations for contact mics (https://zachpoff.com/resources/choosing ... recording/). Although he calls his homemade ones his "daily driver", he highly recommends the kits or products of other people.

Just a side note, can’t remember if its this episode in particular, but certain recording podcasts done by actual audio engineers feature some of the shoddiest recorded sound dialog I’ve ever heard.
