I looked at a list of stuff they have and I only recognized Blackadder. Seasons 2 and 3 are classic sitcoms. 4 is ok if you're hungry for more, but avoid 1, it's a very different show, and not a good one. There's no continuity between seasons, so you don't need to worry about watching in order.

If you like police shows, murder mysteries and such, then Happy Valley, Line of Duty, Shetland (first seasons, it gets bland and then bad as it goes on) and The Fall. I haven't seen Hinterlands apart from the first episode, it was super bleak Welsh crime series and apparently they made a version in Cymraeg, which would be pretty cool to see.

Life on Mars was also continued and concluded as Ashes to Ashes, which may not be very clear from the Britbox presentation. (They stopped there before they had to do a series called The Heart's Filthy Lesson, I guess.)

I'm doing this off a list I found online, but:

Worthwhile drama: The Change (thoughtful, excellent jokes, heavy themes with a light touch, loved it); Karen Pirie (superior Val McDermid adaptation); Mr Loverman (Bernardine Evaristo adaptation, devastating).

Comedies: The Curse (extremely stupid good fun); Motherland; The Cleaner (solid adaptation of a German show I'm dying to see); Chewing Gum.
