21I'm conscious of it, but not as careful as I could be. The idea of associating my real name with an account on the internet is still something I reflexively shy away from, but obviously social media has changed that for some and I wouldn't think I'm bullet proof in that regard. Obviously some people have moved to the thinking that if you don't have an online presence (with your name attached) something must be off, but I'm not giving into that. Not that I think it's inherently bad, I just don't see any particular value in it when it's not needed. Data breaches continue to happen without much consequence too. I think pseudonymity and anonymity are good things and make the internet more interesting. If a site asks for my ID and it's not a gov't agency or bank, I'll stop using the site. Burner emails take a couple seconds to set up, though many of those sometimes require a phone number now.
